Porting an odd subversion layout to git with history

I have a subversion repository with an odd layout:

Trunk

Project1

Project2

tags

Project1-0.2.4

Project2-1.9.0

branches

Project1-crazyidea

I know, I know, that was stupid. I had to have a catalog of chests, tags and branches under each Project. However, is there a way to convert this to git (for a specific project) with a story?

Most git-svn tutorials assume a standard layout and do not cover this specific situation.

Thanks!

If you intend to abandon the SVN repository after converting it to Git, you should consider splitting the SVN repo before converting.

svndumpfilter ( ) ( ). , git svn .
