Installing Recaptcha in Joomla 1.5 user registration

I am trying to install ReCaptcha in Joomla 1.5 user registration. This may just be a problem with Joomla, but when I am on the list, nothing happens. I think it does some JavaScript form validation, but nothing tells the user what went wrong. if, God forbid, they correctly fill out the form. Joomla redirects the user to the home page and does not report success.

Is this a Joomla problem or is there something wrong with my installation? Does anyone know of a plugin or module for Joomla that will simplify this?

UPDATE: Joomla does a lot of “things” / “something” for the variables $ _POST and $ _GET, which cause reCaptcha to not function. It was for a job that passed, so I no longer spend time on it. Shameless Plug: Use wordpress instead.

I highly recommend using mollom / moovum. It works with registration, and it’s great that you don’t need to crack files, and users will notice your protection only in case of doubt or spam.
