I am creating a website that should allow users to subscribe to new items in each category. Thus, potentially I will have a dozen different mailing lists, each with hundreds of subscribers.
On the previous site, I built the mechanism myself, and it worked quite well. I did desecrate various spam and blacklist filters, although since I just used the mail distribution function of the Merak mail server, this is actually not the case.
I was looking for a tool to manage it that could behave better with respect to spam filters, etc. MailChimp just looked like a ticket, since it got a good API that allows you to manage lists, and they pay great attention to doing everything right in relation to spam.
However, it does not give me the flexibility I need, especially with customizing the look of standard response forms, etc. Although there are good tools to customize the appearance of incoming / outgoing emails, they should do list by list and that will not really work for me.
So does anyone have a similar problem? Should I search for an alternative to MailChimp or return to a simpler internal assembly with something more suitable for completing the final emails (thousands of emails per day).
