I am an experienced git user who now works with people who use Mercurial. I really miss 'git gui' for helping me with my commits. I see two tools: qct and hgct , both support Mercurial.
What I like best about git gui is that it shows all uncommitted files (and non-verified files) and makes it easy for me to add whole files or separate sections to a commit / change block. With that in mind, which tool do I prefer , qct or hgct? And from your experience, there are other reasons for preferring one tool over another , and if so, what are they?
EDIT
I installed qct, hgct and tortoisehg in the standard Debian testing system. Of the three, qct was the only one who worked out of the box. But in order to do something interesting, it seems to require a third-party tool such as diffmerge. (The website claims otherwise, but Debian has not yet reached reality.)
I found qct rather unpleasant. The problems include:
- Unable to view more than once at a time
- Unable to miss all other differences with one click
- Unable to go back !
