Prefilling a form for a new SharePoint item

I need to pre-fill the list form (add a new form for the list) with some details (registered username and email address)

How can i do this?

2 options:

  • create your own custom form with controls.

  • create a tiny weppart that does nothing but display user information in javascript. then use jquery to get this information in the fields on the form.

I do the same, trying to fill out the people’s selection field.
