Adding a tab to the Add Link dialog in VS?

Question

She worked on a personal add-in for VS 2008 and studied automation and control. I see that there are many examples for adding a .dll link to the registry, so they appear on the .NET tab in the Add Link dialog box.

However, I would like to add a new tab to the link dialog with some features. Is it possible to do this? I cannot find any documentation for modifying the Add Reference dialog.

I'm not sure about expanding the existing dialogue, but you might consider creating your own. Here 's a blog post where someone created a new dialog box to have faster loading times. You may be able to start with this code and, if necessary, change it.
