Buying in-app without using iTunes Connect?

I have a website that sells a product to a user (downloadable). I am creating an application for the iPhone and want to be able to sell some products using the in-app purchase 3.0.

Now the documentation mentions that everything you want to sell must be uploaded to iTunes Connect and approved by Apple. But I want to constantly add products that will be sold by my application on a daily basis.

I have a web service to get a list of products from the site. Can I enable in-app purchases to allow the user to buy these things from the app, but without the need to add them to iTunes Connect?

As I understand it, no - everything that you want to sell through a purchase through an application goes through a verification process similar to the process of the applications themselves. Apple will not allow, for example, the "photo of the day" application, if you can in the application purchase pornographic photos to be sent to you every day.

What you can probably do is send your app with a backlog of in-app purchases five or six days ahead of schedule, and then sequentially send your daily items earlier when you want them to be available. Not sure how reliable the review process is or whether it will work for your situation - just a thought.
