CDialog and CPropertySheet authentication recommendations?

Could you tell me your way or give me a link to the best recommendations for checking the correctness of the dialogue and properties in the MFC application?

I have my own way of doing this, but I'm interested in any other opinion.

I heard that the MFC macros DDX_xxx and DDV_xxx (and the UpdateData () function) are not the best solution?

How about checking properties?

I like to use the Model-View-Presenter option. A good illustration of this MFC-style practice is the "Modest Dialog " by Michael Persa.
