Gnome-terminal: how to remove scrollbar programmatically?

I am running some processes running in their own gnome terminal and do not want to show the scroll bar. Is there something like xterm +sb disabling the scrollbar for this particular window?

Run gnome-terminal, select Edit-> Profiles from the menu. Create a new profile and name it "NoScrollbar". In the profile settings, go to the "Scroll" tab, then set the scroll bar to "Disabled". To start a new terminal with a new profile, run the following command:

$ gnome-terminal --window-with-profile=NoScrollbar
