Drupal and WordPress Performance Comparison

In the beginning I created my site - bemcapaz.net - on Wordpress. But after I had to crack the kernel and collect a lot of materials through direct programming, I decided to switch to Drupal.

Drupal, besides the fact that CMS focuses more on community sites, is great for making everything you can imagine really simple, even on the blog that I created.

Now my question is, which one offers the best performance? I think Drupal looks really heavier than Wordpress, but since I'm not an advanced programmer, I have no idea how to evaluate which one offers the fastest MySQL queries and web page load times.

Thanks.

Drupal is definitely heavier in the sense that it launches more page requests after you configure it. Using modules such as Views, you can also create your own dynamic queries to manage widgets and pages. They can be as fast or slow as the basic combination of compounds allows.
