Has anyone come across open source tools / frames for automating Webkit browser testing?

There is (not verified) the WebAii Automation Framework , where the current version of Beta 2.0.0.1 has added support for Safari 3 on Windows (it’s free, but I don’t think it is open).

If you want to do it yourself:

On Apple, you can script use AppleScript or

MAC OS X> 10.4: there is Automator

Windows P/Invoke WinLauncher WebKitTools
