Is there a C ++ library (like Boost) for session management for CGI web applications?

Is it possible to use cookies and URL rewriting in C ++ code for CGI web applications?

One option is to use session variables. I'm not very sure that they will work with C ++, but they are one of the best session management options in Java and are always preferable to cookies, as cookies are written in the client’s browser and you may have to compromise with confidential data protection.
