I saw numerous ads / sites that scoff at a cluttered user interface, installing it next to, say, Google and having a signature: this is your site / this is theirs.
This is very funny, but in fact Google only needs a text box and a submit button.
How about when your page is a data entry form, for example, an order entry form or a new employee entry form?
I can't think of a way to create a form that requires a lot of data input without messing up text fields, dropdownlists, checkboxes, etc.
Of course, I could use only one text box per page and have a 50-page data entry form or wizard, but I don’t think it would fit well with end users.
Has anyone found a way to create a data entry form that collects a lot of data but doesn't look ugly?
