How to define preprocessor directives in VC ++ 2008?

I am using Visual C ++ 2008 Express Edition. The WIN32 preprocessor directive does not seem to be defined by default, so when I am surrounded, I include WIN32 in #ifndef, it still includes them.

I found someone with the same problem below, but it was so long ago that the location of this parameter changed:

In VS 2008 Pro, you right-click the project and select Properties. Then find the preprocessor definitions in the configuration properties | C / C ++ | Preprocessor.

Try _WIN32 ( ...)

MSDN.
