Rails application.html.erb?

Question

Old Rails used the application.rhtml file. The newer version has .html.erb files for each model. What is the reason there is currently no application.html.erb file?

You can create a file application.html.erbin the app / view / layouts directory if you want to have a layout file for the entire application.
