VIM project and tabs

Is it possible to combine Project Plugin with tabs?

If I open the file in my Project Explorer, I want to open it in a new tab ... :)

You must hack this plugin yourself (I don’t think it will be difficult) or write to the author and ask him to do it.

I also suggest NERDTree as a replacement for the project (it can open files on tabs).
