Intelligent wildcard search (*) and word grouping in full-text SQL search

What is the best way to implement full-text search in MS SQL using all the usual things like wildcards and quotes. For example:

If the search field has user inputs

Overdose of Vitamin C for a child *

I would like to consider "vitamin C" as one phrase and I would like to match "baby" and "children"

The documentation offers so many alternatives, it's hard to distinguish between them. I would like you to be able to pull out the above string in full-text search and decrypt its grouping and wildcards, but I don't think it's smart.

Here is a very good article Normalizing SQL Server Full-Text Search Conditions .

It saved a ton of time for me.
