Processor: how to get cache information about Intel xeon

I am looking for a way to get accurate information on the Xeon E5420 architecture. This processor has 4 cores and a 2x6Mo cache, so 2 cores have a 6Mo cache.

I work on machines that have 2 xeon processors, so they have 8 cores, and looking at / proc / cpuinfo just gives me an idea of which core the processor is on.

Usually the odd kernels are on the processor, and the kernels are on the other, but I have not found a way to find out which two kernels on the same processor share the 6Mo cache.

Any clue?

By the way, I found a good library that provides a team lstopothat gives you exactly the topology of the system!
