Oracle calculation, including the results of another calculation

Question

Firstly, I am a complete Oracle noob, although I am very familiar with SQL. I have a single value column. I need to calculate the total cost, a percentage of the total cost, and then the current amount of interest. I am having problems with the current interest amount, because the only way I can do this is using the SUM functions that are not allowed.

Here's what works:

SELECT cost, SUM(cost) OVER() AS total, cost / SUM(cost) OVER() AS per
FROM my_table
ORDER BY cost DESC

Here, what I'm trying to do does not work:

SELECT cost, SUM(cost) OVER() AS total, cost / SUM(cost) OVER() AS per,
       SUM(cost/SUM(cost) OVER()) OVER(cost) AS per_sum
FROM my_table
ORDER BY cost DESC

Am I just mistaken, or am I trying to make it simply impossible? By the way, I am using Oracle 10g. Thanks in advance for any help.
