Ubuntu Eclipse Version

I have a basic question, what is the latest version of Eclipse available for Ubuntu 9.04?

The version that is in the official repositories is 3.2.2, there is a PPA with version 3.4.1 here, and there is no reason why you cannot download the latest version from eclipse.org if you want.

Ubuntu repositories usually have a fairly new version of Eclipse. But if you need a cutting edge, this question on askubuntu contains detailed instructions on how to extract eclipse to a directory (the preferred method, say, Windows) and how to fix all links and shortcuts afterwards.

Personally, I prefer to extract eclipse to the user directory on Ubuntu, and this works fine for Eclipse 3.7.2
