IntelliJ does not recognize JDK version

Question

I wrote one java project for IntelliJ 8.1.1 idea. When I proceed to compile the IntelliJ IDEA 8.1.1 option, then it displays a popup message box that displays an error -

cannot determine version for JDK JDK configuration update.

Despite the fact that I have the proper JDK version, I have jdk1.5.0 installed on my PC that works fine with a different environment. Please suggest any settings that may change.
