Functional characteristics

Vitriver I looked, functional features are a kind of documents with requirements / proposed functions, presented and developed. Recently, I was able to make a standard template for our company for functional specifications. The format that I defined beforehand is an excel file with quite a bit of automation.

  • The template plans to associate top-level requirements with lower level requirements in the hierarchy.

  • Then the requirements of the lower level can be compared with the technical aspects of the design, similar to the house of quality. Oscillation is identified as in HOQ, but in addition, appropriateness is evaluated for each pair of requirements and technical aspect.

  • If any technical aspect of the requirement is flagged as impracticable, the requirement is flagged for review.

  • After all requirements are either marked as permissible or properly removed, each pair of technical requirements and the technical side are removed, and estimates are requested for each of them in terms of time and budget.

  • Evaluations help us in project planning.

Can I get an informed opinion about this offer? This showed me the best way to connect requirements with technical aspects, and then with project planning.

Requirements are slippery things and need to be reoriented and redefined in so many ways. Too much automation of spreadsheets can be an obstacle.

Basically, people should be able to add an unlimited number of additional columns and sort them into countless organizations and reorganizations.

You may need to add a spreadsheet to list use cases and any user interface specifications.
