Is Netbeans equally attractive for developing Ruby on a Mac?

I understand that most Ruby developments on a Mac use Textmate, but I love Netbeans on a Windows environment, and I wonder if it will be equally awesome on a Mac — even if it does a bit of flow, will Netbeans pose any problems like a Ruby IDE on a Mac?

This will not cause any problems, but in fact it does not give you many advantages when using another editor - they are all almost the same, it’s just a workflow and small functionality that changes. I assume it depends on personal preferences - if you feel comfortable with Netbeans, then it will be convenient for you to use it. However, TextMate is very popular because it gives a good level of built-in support for Ruby and Rails, it is much faster than Netbeans, and it feels much more like a native application (which, of course, it is).

Ultimately, it is up to you and what you want to get out of your editor / development environment.
