How do I switch the Emacs split screen where one screen is an editor and the other is a terminal emulator?

I have ssh'ed to a remote machine and started emacs. I opened one small python application and then split the screen into two, and the Mx terminal emulator in another. I would like to edit the script in one section, and then press Cx o and run it in another section. Unfortunately, I can't seem Cx o from the terminal emulator, and it just finishes typing x o.

Is there a better way to do what I'm trying to do? Or is there a keystroke that will allow me to return to the editor section?

Change . I just tried to make "Mx shell" instead of "Mx term", and this allows me to use Cx o to switch.

In the * terminal * window, C- ^ o to switch to another window and C- ^ Ch for more help.

ALT-X another window

C-TAB also works locally. Will it translate through SSH? If not, bind another window to another key that will go through SSH.

I found this post and I configured the .emacs file accordingly. http://nex-3.com/posts/45-efficient-window-switching-in-emacs
