How to solve a VERY BIG URL problem for a hyperlink ... with jQuery or Javascript calling any perl, php etc. script on the back

I have a user interface like a search engine for BioProcess / Disease -> Genes. for example, the User may request: “Stem cells” or “brain tumor”, and as a result, he will give from 50 to 5000 genes (essentially these are numbers that represent Uniqe Gene in the NCBI database).

Now the problem is that I like these GeneIDs on the NCBI site right away. For up to 200 or 400 GeneIDs, I can get the result in order. But for more than 500 GeneIDs, I can get the "URI TOO LARGE" error or somehow the NCBI website cannot accept a huge request. I am trying to solve this problem.

Can Javascript, OnClick write a file to a UNIX / tmp file? or is there a better solution for this?
