How to change msi installation package icon in vs2008 and change user interface screen after creating package for C # projects

I am trying to change the msi installation package icon. I did not find any solution for this. I also tried changing the user interface of the msi installation package. I got some skins for this interface, but this is a version of the trail. Anyone know, please help me in resolving the above issue.

The icon is a standard icon for .msi files. You cannot change it from Project Setup in Visual Studio 2008. The screen used in the installation project cannot be changed from Visual Studio 2008. The best option is probably to look at other providers of the third part. One example is the Skin Crafter Installer . You can also use Wix and create your own custom dialogs yourself.

You can use Visual Studio to change the setup.exe icon. Follow these steps.

Create a customization project

Open setup.exe using only build, File -> Open -> File

Right-click the node icon in file explorer and you can change and save.

A simple solution is to convert msi to exe using a program such as "Msi to Exe Converter". The test does not allow you to change the icon. To change the icon, use Visual studio.
