Transfer header data to reply letters

I am trying to determine the best way to save information from the sending email message until the reply.

Essentially, it should pass the GUID from the original email (C #), in which, when the recipient answers back, that GUID is also sent back for reference.

I tried to set a MessageID in which, using Outlook, the In-Reply-To value is set with the original identifier, however, using some webclient email systems, this value is not created when responding. Is there any way to send this information via email headers?

The most reliable way is to place the identifier in the subject , which should be stored in all responses.

(It doesn’t stop telling your users that they should keep the item intact.)

RT is a popular ticketing system. They use a simple theme format, such as a " [Ticket #123]" and a key 123.
