Sharepoint 2007: what should developers know?

Question

I worked with Sharepoint 2007, and as a developer it was a nightmare. Because of this technology, I left my internship after 1 month.

I thought that all developers would think the same way for me, but this question taught me differently. Apparently, the developer might say, "I love Sharepoint." Perhaps they have fallen into madness.

I do not ask for information about Sharepoint that can be easily found in books, but instead I want to know what war stories or personal jokes you have about developing Sharepoint 2007?

Problem: “Attach” data from several lists (especially with different fields) Solution. Search fields can help in a few cases, but most of the time you should enter the list items programmatically.

Here are a few basic but disappointing ones:

Problem: You cannot use the wiki page title as a search in another list.

Solution: Create a text box in the list that you manually fill in with the same information, and use this as a search.
