Apple Applet Network Connection

Question

At the moment when my applet is working in a web browser, it is blocked from any external network connections. Can I change any settings so that they can connect?

It works great when launched from the desktop, but in the browser it limits it.

Applers can connect to the server on which they were uploaded ("same origin policy"). With 6u10, they can also access sites with the corresponding file crossdomain.xml(google it).
