DNS two domains one server

Question

Greetings to all, For a long time the reader is the first poster. I work in a small school district. We are our own SOA, so we can pretty much do what we want.

In Washington State, all schools are given the name myschools.wednet.edu. I recently bought a new one and, I hope, it’s easier to remember the myschools.org domain, and I would like to use both domains and point them to the same information and subdomains, that is, helpdesk.myschools.org will be equal to helpdesk.myschools.wednet.edu , I would also like it to work with email, but I think it is a little more complicated.

I am sure that this was done, but I am not quite sure that I am asking the question in a way that can be easily answered.

Any help is appreciated.

To do this, you will have several records of DNS records (A-Recs) pointing to the same IP address. You may also need to configure IIS (or your web server software) to accept requests coming from both domains.

So ... in your DNS manager (for example, on Register.com or if you manage your domains) change A-Rec to the point myschools.org (your domain) to the same IP address of the server where myschools.wednet is. edu (I suppose you told them where to specify the subdomain).
