Can I use a front controller in Rails?

In Spring MVC, the servlet dispatcher is used as the "front controller" to handle all application requests and route them accordingly.

Is it possible to use this approach in Rails or is it necessary to write a separate controller for each type of action without a β€œtraffic policeman” (front controller) directing the flow?
