Declaring an item with ANY name in DTD

Question

Is it possible to declare an element in my DTD that can have ANY name? So far I have learned that ANY can only be used for a data type, for example:

<!ELEMENT element-name ANY>

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No, the ANY keyword applies only to the item category. In any case, will semantics be ANY as a name? Whatever you hope, DTD does not have this.
