What are the basic ASP.NET form security methods?

Suppose I have a form with some checkboxes disabled, because a user logged in will not be able to check them. Where should I add some sanitation security to make sure they don't break the flag and cause a postback?

On the page? Database level? In the database?

I understand that this is most likely a fairly broad question.

thanks Mark

If you really need to make it safe, perform checks across all layers ... at a minimum, start with the database access and data access level.
