Windows Layout Look and Feel

Question

I am looking for design guidelines for Windows Look and Feel Design ( but not the one for Windows Vista! ) That describes the perfect gap between elements, etc. I found the document initially several years ago on MSDN, but now I can not find it.

I started a new job, the same thing happens here as before: a program written and added over the years by several different people with different ideas about the user interface. Although I had a chance on a Friday night, I thought I was putting out the layout
