What is the difference between Indy 9 and Indy 10?

I am responsible for porting a Delphi 2007 application to C # and have absolutely no experience with Delphi. I wonder what the difference is between the two versions of Indy that Delphi includes: Indy 9 and Indy 10. At the moment, I don’t even know what Indy is. Can anybody help me? Are these just different versions of the Delphi library? What are the consequences of using one or the other?

Thanks!

Indy is not suitable for Internet Direct, an open source library for networking. This is most often used to create Internet-related things, such as sending emails and more.
