Visual Studio installation project with all files from the folder

We have an installation project that is currently adding Project Output from various visual studio projects. We want to change the packaging system and use a folder with a bunch of deployment files that are ready for deployment in configuration.
But this means that we need to add files one at a time and add them to each version when new files appear.
I saw in this question that we cannot add files with rules such as * .aspx.
Therefore, I am considering creating a small tool that will modify the vdproj file based on existing files. Can you help me in the format of this file? There seems to be some GUIDs associated with each included file.
Does anyone have a better solution on how to do this?
We are not yet thinking about using another installation tool, we are just looking for a simple solution for packing files.

There did not seem to be a simple solution to this issue. As a result, we changed the configuration tool and using the Advanced Installer to create a configuration, it has a nice function that synchronizes files inside the folder for deployment.

To add an entire folder, simply open the Windows Explorer window and then drag and drop all the files that you want to add to the file system view.

The following works just fine: just drag and drop the folder into the installation directory (use Windows Explorer, not Solution Explorer). Then it will add all files and all subfolders to it.

You can right-click on a folder in Explorer and click "Copy", and then right-click on a folder in the file system view in the installation project and click "Paste". Drag and drop did not work for me.
