VML / SVG editor on HTML page

Over the past few years, I have combined various WYSIWYG HTML editors, but I think I threw it on this brick wall.

We need a way to edit text that turns into VML / SVG when rendering, but remains editable, with minimal style, such as bold, italics, font and size and, if possible, the ability to create a text area anywhere on the canvas. Google Docs has what it looks like in the presentation editor. Something like this will work ~ very close to what we are looking for.

Does anyone know about a commercial or free editor that does this (should be browser based), and if not, someone turned to this, and if so, what were your results. Any other data, links, offers, etc. Welcome - I seem to have hit a brick wall on it.

Thanks.

You can try http://svg-edit.googlecode.com/ , although we do not translate to VML (IE users need to install the Google Chrome Frame plugin).

First, one important question arises: why should the output of the WYSIWYG editor in VML / SVG specifically be output?
