If you are selling widgets, we all know that having “Bob Widgets” in the headline and H1 gives you the best ranking on Google when people search for “widgets.”
But what if someone explained to me the other day that their product is known under different names in different parts of the world?
In the US, it was called a widget. In Canada, it was called Flidget. In Australia, this is called Zidget. Actually there is no official name, just unofficial names.
Meta tags are not a problem, but other than what is the best way to handle this situation? Just make separate pages? You cannot have 3 H1 per page. One H1 that says: "Widgets, (aka Flidgets, Zidgets)"?
Or do I just believe that Google is smart enough, and some magical taxonomy databases group these three words together as one?
EDIT: This question got down, simply because it relates to SEO? How strange. If you even took care to read the question, you can see that I am not trying to play the system or not to go anywhere. I have a really interesting question and the actual need of the client.
Also, pay attention to the fact that I always use semantic HTML, I know how ranking in search engines works, and I'm not trying to get away with something shadowy.
