How to stop SVN Checkout from returning files deleted from a project?

We are new to the subversive, tortoise, Ankshwin stack. Although in Studio 2008 we deleted files from our project problem, when we do svn checkout in our CI assembly, we get deleted files. How to prevent the inclusion of these files in the statement?

You need to remove them in Subversion. From the TortoiseSVN menu, select “Delete,” and then commit this removal. At the command line you can use svn rm <filename>and then commit.

Removing files from a project is not enough: SVN does not know anything about “projects”, everything that it knows about files in your working copy, so you need to remove them “physically” from Explorer and then commit the changes.
