TextRange selection MSIE

I can easily set the selection on 2+ elements programmatically in Firefox, but I have not had success in IE, so I hope someone can help me with this.

IE does not support multiple parallel selected TextRanges, regardless of whether they are selected programmatically or manually. You can have a ControlRange of several selected items, but not stretch the text.

In other browsers, it is possible to embed a web browser control to support multiple text ranges :
