Where can I find a good VCS written in PHP?

Question

I have a web server that can run PHP and Ruby.

I would like to know if there is a PHP program that can do version control of my code like SVN?
I know that there are already open source sites that provide this service, but I would like it to be installed on my own host. I do not have access to this server to install additional packages either

I know this is old, but for reference, since you have FTP access, you can use Bazaar via FTP and use something like Redmine as a web viewer. Using FTP will be slower than installing the Bazaar smart server on the server (FTP is known as a silent transport), but it will meet all your requirements.
