PerformancePoint and Sharepoint List as a Data Source

Question

I was asked to create a very simple dashboard using the Sharepoint list as a data source using the Dashboard Designer tool. I can create a data source, get a list and view the data in a table format. Now, when I try to create a KPI or ScoreCard from this list, I get the error "Failed to get the list." Anyone else come across this? This is not like a connection or permission. Any help would be appreciated.

Did you go through the MSDN Virtual Lab at the performance point ? It has a complete step-by-step guide on creating a list and setting up a control panel to talk to the list.
