CodeIgniter Authentication Library 1.7

Question

I am trying to find an authentication library for CodeIgniter 1.7.x, but I'm not very lucky. I initially found this stack overflow post: How to choose an authentication library for CodeIgniter? which lists a few, but most of them were either too simple and / or were developed for CodeIgniter 1.5.x

I played with FreakAuth, UserAuth, Redux, and several others, but had problems getting any of them to work correctly. Does anyone know a good library to use with CodeIgniter 1.7.x?

Have you tried DX Auth ? It is very complete and works with 1.7 (says so in the message, and I personally used it).

I searched for the simplest authentication library a few months ago, and I found the "Authentication library". It is very easy to use, the author has a CI-User_guide-type for reference, and he does not have a single bloat I found in other auth libraries.

The author is very responsive on CI tips and on his facebook / twitter page for comments and help. Try it, I had success with it in my 1.7 applications.

I successfully tested Redux2 Beta in a small CI 1.7 project. No problems and code was very easy to understand (no additional documentation required). I look forward to the final release.
