Install Report Manager on a standalone server with SSRS 2008

Is it possible to install the IIS SSRS 2008 part on a separate server. We have one database server and one web server. Is it possible to install the SSRS2008 database part on the database server and the web part (Report Manager ...) on the web server?

Are there any recommendations for this scenario?

First of all, there is no part of IIS SSRS 2008. SSRS is no longer dependent on IIS traffic and pipes directly from http.sys on the SSRS server, and not through IIS.
