Can Silverlight contain ActiveX?

Howdy and thanks in Advance!

I am trying to access a USB port from a Silverlight application. Since Silverlight runs in a sandbox, it cannot do this.

Is it possible to run an ActiveX control from a Silverlight application? (Preferably not an overlay)

If yes: what are the examples? What are the best methods for doing this?

No, the ActiveX control cannot work inside Silverlight.

However, you can have both the Silverlight html page host and the ActiveX control, and the two communicate through javascript.
