What is the best way to display additional information on a web page? Pop up when pressed or hover?

I like to show additional information about some keywords on a web page. I do not want to send a visitor to another page, and I prefer to display additional information on top of the current page.

Keywords are listed in the html list. This is basically a list of functions, and I want to offer more information about these functions. So, I have two ideas based on the fact that you have “Additional Information” or “?”. hyperlinks.

• The user hovers over the link, and a pop-up window appears with information and disappears when they soar.
• They click on the link, a popup with "X" appears, and they click on X to close.

Which one offers a more convenient user interface?

I like # 1 because they don’t need to click to open and close, but the disadvantage is that windows can inadvertently open while they are masked over the page.

Both are quite annoying, but if I needed to choose the lesser of two evils, I would go with the right tips.

You can configure Javascript on the page to handle a random mouse and instead wait a few seconds before displaying a popup.

• If the elements are so dense that wherever you move the mouse, something pops up on hover, then DO NOT freeze!
• Can you draw a show of very short information and click "Show more"? It may be the best of both worlds if it works for you.
• Do you have a dedicated box that displays information when you hover over? It could be better than any popup. Opinions are changing ...
