How do we burn SMDR \ CDR from PBX?

I'm just trying to create a Call Monitor system that reads SMDR \ CDR from my PABX through a serial port or IP. So that I can create some reports from this data. I know that the output format is different from each manufacturer, so how can we deal with this problem? Are there any libraries or sample projects that are easy to get started?
