Why doesn't Silverlight support compiled regular expressions?

Silverlight 2 and Silverlight 3 Beta framework do not support compiled regular expressions, i.e.

RegexOptions.Compiled

I would be interested to hear discussions about why this is possible, if possible.

I assume that for the same reason for many Silverlight design decisions, this means that it was a structure functionality that did not survive cost-benefit analysis; whether the advantage of having a function cost an extra kernel load size.
