QVT (Transpect View Transformation) is the OMG specification for the model transformation language. Some tools already implement it (Eclipse, androMDA). I am wondering if it is really used in real cases. Will it ever take off and be used to solve real problems? Does anyone use QVT?
QVT seems to be used for model-driven applications. This is a good choice because of well-defined semantics and provability. However, this one more time. France Telecom is experimenting with QVT. They want to use it for database migration and a generative approach for applications.
