How to go to the user error page?

In SharePoint

I want to be able to forward a custom error page if the number 404 is reached.

However, after execution:

How to point to a custom 404 error webpage in Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 or in Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007

I cannot hit my error page while trying to enter entries such as:

http: // localhost / adsdasad or something wrong.

Any ideas?

Add an IIS lookup handler for these URLs.
